~ Page 6 May 25, 2000
97. This item has been addressed, with the exception of the following minor items.
TCC has provided a proposed replacement page 2.03-24 (dated 5/3/00). Inserting this page immediately after
existing petrrtit page 2.03-23 (dated 5/27/99). however, will eliminate the information pertaining to the TCC
permit boundary for Sections 26, 27, 28, and 29 in TSN, R86W.
Please revise proposed replacement page 2.03-24 (dated 5/3/00) to include the information pertaining to the
description of the TCC permit boundary for Sections 26, 27, 28, and 29 in TSN, R86W.
Please also revise proposed replacement page 2.03-24 (dated 5/3/00) to replace the " 3)" in the front of the
paragraph begins with "CERTIFICATION OF NAME CHANGE" (caps currently exist in the permit).
99. This item has been adequately addressed.
108. This item has not been adequately addressed.
The Division, in its May 1, 2000 adequacy letter, stated that it was our understanding that during the
development of Gateroad 6 Right, a fault was encountered neaz the 25's crosscut that exhibited groundwater
inflow into the mine. The Division went on to say that we thought that this fault appeared to exist in either the E
'/z of Section 29, TSN, R86 W, or in the W %: of Section 28, TSN, R86 W, and requested Maps 6 and 23 be
revised to depict the location of this fault The Division additionally requested that if this fault were extensive
enough to be crossed by Cross Sections A-A' or B-B', TCC should also revise these cross sections to depict the
existence of this fault.
TCC's response stated, "The fault TCC crossed is shown on the appropriate x-sections". However, the only
faults depicted on Cross Sections A-A' and B-B' do not appear Coexist inthe E %: of Section 29, TSN, R86W,
or the W '/: of Section 28, TSN, R86W.
To elaborate upon our initial concern, we understand that Gateroad 6 Right encountered a fault near its 25~'
crosscut. Based upon our review of Map 23, the 25~' crosscut of Gateroad 6 Right appears to Ge in the very
western part of Section 28, TSN, R86W.
Please revise Maps 6 and 23 so that the location of this fault is depicted. If this fault is extensive enough that it
would cross through Cross Sections A-A' or B-B', please also revise these cross-sections to depict this fault.
The proposed decision date is May 26, 2000. Please call me shou]d you have any further questions.
