After salvageable soils aze stripped from the next mining stage, the
remaining overburden will be stripped and used to establish the planned contour of the
preceding reclamation phase (see Map Exhibit F). Exposed clays will be covered with
the sandy, gravely overburden to a minimum thickness of approximately two feet. As
soon as the final grading is complete, the area will be resoiled with stockpiles of existing
soils. The thickness of respread soils will vary between six and twelve inches.
Along the eastern and southern perimeters ofthe pit the slopes will be re-
established at no greater that 2 to 1. In many azeas the slopes will be less than 3 to 1, and
in the bottom of the pit slopes will be only great enough to establish positive drainage
(see Map Exhibit F)
Since the property is being mined in six stages, there will be sir reclamation
phases.
