2005 -1- 053-2386
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Golder Associates Inc. (Golder) has prepazed this report for the Cripple Creek and Victor Gold
Mining Company (CC&V) to present the results of geosynthetic liner load testing which was
conducted to evaluate the performance of the various Valley Leach Facility (VLF) liner systems
under higher ore loading conditions than currently approved under Amendment No. 8 to the Office of
Mined Land Reclamation (OMLR) Permit M-1980-244. The purpose of these tests was to
demonstrate that the current VLF liner systems can maintain hydraulic containment with ore depths
that are greater than the designed and approved ore depth of approximately 590 feet
The following sections present the result of the static liner load testing conducted on minimum
thickness 80-mil Very Low Density Polyethylene (VLDPE), 80-mil Linear Low Density Polyethylene
(LLDPE) and 100-mil LLDPE liner material. The specific sample construction, test procedures, and
test resu]ts aze presented herein.
i:WS@386\0900\fnl-IiumloedsuppO505W5323860000 [nlrry.doc Golder ASSOCIatCS
