•
•
will be maintained in operation and monitored for the duration
of mining operations.
2.0 well Completion Methods
2.1 Dedicated Monitor Wells
The dedicated monitor wells will serve to monitor four water
bearing zones (Dissolution Surface, B-Groove, A-Groove and
Perched aquifers) up- and down-gradient from the well field.
The dedicated monitor wells will be established by recompleting
existing drill holes or drilling new holes across these four
specific hydrostratigraphic intervals. Immediately down-
gradient monitor wells were established six months prior to
mining, and baseline data has been collected for a period of 6
months prior to commencement of mining operations. The
following narrative describes NaTec's plans to recomplete and
develop these wells. Map in Plate 1 shows the location of each
of the proposed dedicated monitor wells. Figures 3, 4 and 5
show location of individual wells at each group of wells.
The following wells
locations:
Up-Gradient
IRI-1
NaTec-26-90-2
NaTec-26-90-3
NaTec-26-90-4
are located at the three monitoring
Aquifer
Perched monitoring well
Dissolution Surface monitoring well
B-Groove monitoring well
A-Groove monitoring well
11
