December 23, 1999 • <br />Pnge 6-3 <br />Record the exact measurement as read from the cable and/or tape. Do not perform any <br />calculations or rounding before recording value. If corrections are necessary, due to <br />adjustments (splices) in the sounder cable, perform those calculations AFTER the raw <br />data has been recorded. <br />After recording the depth, repeat the measurement to confirm the depth. <br />Turn the meter off and reel up cable. <br />Decontaminate probe and cable according to the Standard Operating Procedures for <br />Equipment Decontamination, if applicable. <br />Replace inner and outer protective caps. Be sure to lock outer cover, if applicable, <br />replacing old lock if necessary. Alternatively, proceed with groundwater sampling. <br />Personnel will also follow these additional guidelines for water level sounding: <br />Do not drop anything down the well. If any equipment is lost down the well, document <br />the occurrence. <br />Reportanydamaged,blocked, or otherwisedeficientwellstotheenvironmentalmanager <br />for repair or closure. <br /> <br />Agapito Associates, Inc. <br />
