Hypalon lining in good condition. Several small tears in the hypalon lining were <br />observed along the north and west sides, well above high water level, and two new <br />tears along the south face. <br />Problems in the perimeter fence were observed in the southwest comer. Tear in <br />wire fabric and fence corner post eroded by corner of road adjacent to it. <br />An accumulation of sediments and aquatic plant growth was observed along the <br />south side of the pond and the two north corners. <br />The plywood cover over a concrete valve pit on the east side of the pond is not <br />sturdy and the fence is gone near the pit. <br />Comments this quarterly inspection include monitor hypalon lining, and replace <br />valve pit lid, repair southwest fence corner <br />To the best of my knowledge, based upon my professional expertise, the Fresh <br />Water Impoundment Pond No.3 at the Southfield Mine is being maintained in <br />conformance with the prudent state-of--the-art of earthen embankment construction. <br />I hereby certify, based upon my field observations and professional investigations, <br />as detailed here above, that the Fresh Water Impoundment Pond No.3 at Energy Fuels <br />Coal, Incorporated's Southfield Mine, located in Fremont County, Colorado, is being <br />maintained in compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Division. <br />
