<br />request and since the disposal of high sulfide waste rock in the Ironclad pit has the potential to <br />adversely impact ground water in that azea, the Division, pursuant to Rule 3.1.7 (3) (b) (ii) (A) <br />of the Hazd Rock/Metal Mining Rules, requires CC&VG to supply all ground water quality <br />information in its possession for the Moffat Tunnel and for the following monitoring wells: <br />1) The well located in NE SE Section 18, Twp 155, Rg 69W, 6th P. M. Indicated to have been <br />issued permit number 19531 by the State Engineer's Office. <br />2)The well located in NE Section 19, Twp 15S, Rg 69w, 6th P. M. indicated to have been issued <br />Permit Number 22179 by the State Engineer's Office. <br />In addition to ground water quality data specified for the above listed wells, CC&VG is to supply <br />accurate locations for the two wells ,well depths, well elevation, water levels, well completion <br />and sampling dates by September 29, 1997 which is 154 days after the Division's May 28, 1997 <br />written request for such dates. <br />The Division requests the above information to be provided no later than September 29, 1997.If <br />the Division does not receive the information by the above date, the appropriate numeric <br />protection levels and compliance points will be placed for Permit Number M-80-244 Cazlton <br />project, Cresson Amendment in accordance with the groundwater rules and Regulations. <br />If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Berhan Keffelew <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />
