specific conductivity, and specific gravity;
then
• Monthly thereafter for TDS, pH, specific
conductivity, and specific gravity;
• Quarterly thereafter for the parameters on
the short list, Table 2 of the Water
Monitoring Plan (Appendix H);
• Quarterly for dissolved organic carbon,
BETX, and methane in the production fluid
only; and
• Whenever there is a change in the source of
injection fluids. A comprehensive water
analysis shall be submitted to the Director
within thirty (30) days of any change in
injection fluids.
(b) For injection activities: Continuous monitoring
with 10 minute recording of fluid temperature,
flow rate, injection pressure, and cumulative
volume. Maximum and minimum values for all
parameters shall be recorded on a daily basis.
(c) Continuous monitoring with 10 minute recording of
the tubing/casing annulus pressure, and
determinations of depth to the fluid/mining
solution interface within the production
tubing/casing annulus.
(d) Monitor the fluid added or removed in the
casing/tubing annulus, and record the cumulative
volume on a daily basis. Sample the injection
and production fluid daily for laboratory
determination of density.
(e) For production activities: Continuous monitoring
with 10 minute recording of fluid temperature,
flow rate, recovery pressure, and cumulative
volume. Maximum and minimum values for each
parameter shall be recorded daily.
(f) Calculate the mass balance of material injected
and removed from an operating solution mining
cavity on a monthly basis.
