Re: Hydrologic tonitoring/- Northern Coal Company
Pursuant to your request, I have reviewed the hydrologic monitoring plan proposed
by the Northern Coal Company in their letter of March 31, 1982. Generally, I
agree with the reasoning behind the proposal. However, I suggest that the plan
be modified as is outlined in the tables to follow. The suggested changes should
make the plan both less expensive and more effective. However, should operations
at the mine increase in the future, the monitoring plan will have to be adjusted
accordingly.
