Those pits have been removed from this plan for the following reasons:
Lawrence Wash Plant - In 2006 the lake was backfilled and Aggregate fully
augmented all remaining stream depletions resulting from previous mining activities.
Thus, there is no longer any out-of-priority depletions resulting from operations at
the site.
Fulton Lakes -Aggregate has completed mining and reclamation at this site and
has conveyed ownership of the site to the City of Thornton. Reclamation of the site
included completion of a slurry wall liner. According to Aggregate all lagged stream
depletions resulting from previous mining activities have been replaced, therefore,
there is no longer any out-of-priority depletions accruing to the river as a result of
past operations at the ske.
Larson Pit -The landowners have assumed augmentation responsibilities for this
site and have submitted a separate renewal request for the site. That SWSP
request was approved on May 30, 2007.
Regular mining operations are currently occurring at the East 8" Street Pit, WW Farms Pit,
Distel Pit, Hazeltine Pit, Brighton Pit, Tucson Pit, and Wattenberg Pit. Depletions resulting from
evaporation and mining operations at the sites are replaced under this plan.
Mining at the Tucson South Pit and Tull Pit will not begin until after 2007.
Aggregate has completed mining at the F-Street Pit and is continuing with reclamation
activities.
Mining and reclamation of the Teti Pit is complete leaving exposed ground water requiring a
permanent plan for augmentation. Aggregate is currently working towards filing an application for
a plan of augmentation with the water court.
