VEGETATION INFORMATION
A. Vegetation Types
Ground cover amounts to more than 50 percent of the area
grasses naturally occurring are:
alkall sacaton
switch grass
western wheatgrass
sedges
alkall bluegrass
slender wheatgrass
Canada wildrye
foxtail barley
vine mesquite
prairie cordgrass
rush
Cottonwoods and willows are found along the river bottom.
B. Crop Production
The primary
Some crops are produced on the southern portion of the permit area.
However, most of the area has been overgrazed in the past and is composed
of weeds and fortis with an estimated annual production of 1,500 pounds of
air dry forage.
