1

' EXHIBIT I
SOILS INFORMATION
' A. Type, Thickness and Distribution
' Practically the entire acreage is classified as P.quolls and Aquents.
The Aquolls, which have dark colored surface layers, make up about 65 per-
' cent of the unit; and the Aquents, which are lighter colored, make up about
25 percent. The remaining 10 percent, located in the Southeast Quarter of
' Section 36, is Aquolls and Aquents, flooded and Bankard sandy loam.
' These soils typically are no deeper than 48 inches and are underlain
by sand and gravel deposits.
'
B. Suitability for Plant Growth
' These soils have an agricultural land use capability of Class VI and
certainly would not be considered prime or unique. There is ample topsoil
' to revegetate certain areas after mining is complete.
