ADDITIONS ADD DELETIONS TO C=SR-13A MINE APPLICATION
1. A. Additional acreage has been added to extend the waste dump, so
that the total disturbed acreage is now 9.69 acres. The additional
fee should be $2.60 , $125.00 less a balance of $122.40.
2. A. Exhibit A should include the following statement: All legal descrip-
tions should contain N.M.P.M. after township and iange.
3. A. The shaded affected acreage on Exhibit C-2 includes both present
and protected disturbed areas, as Exhibit C in the Rules and Regula-
tions calls for "The total area to be involved in the operatim".
On the revised map, the area labeled "old inactive portal" has been
deleted as affected land because it will not be used. Acreage has
been added to the north oP the active waste dump area. Surface
Facilities include an air tank, compressor house, fuel storage,
shop-office, and a power transmitter. (See Exhibit C ,2)
B. As stated in the original application, the applicability of a timetable
of surface disturbance to an underground mining plan is questionable.
All surface disturbance around the portal area has been done, with the
exception of gradual growth oP the waste dump. However, this growth
has been projected roughly and accounted for in the permitted acreage.
Surface ventholes will be constructed within several years. Aqain, this
acreage has been accounted for (see Exhibit C-2 ), but may require a
technical revision to change its location. The life oP the mine is
projected to be between Fifteen and twenty years.
Generally venthole roads or exploratory drill roads (under Prospecting
Notice) are used to install power lines if major disturbance is
involved. Acreage will be manipulated through technical revision
or added, if necessary, through amendments, if different roads are
needed.
D. The C-SR-13A Mine produces less than 70,000 tons oP combined ore
and waste yearly.,
E. There is minimal surface disturbance involved in the drilling of a
venthole. A drilling rig will drive to the proposed site and drill a
hole which will be somewhere between 48 inches and 84 inches in
diameter. The cuttings (crushed rock Prom the hole) will fall down
into the mine and be removed as waste. A concrete pad will be constructed
approximately 16 feet in diameter and 2 Peet thick, and a Pan installed.
The Pan will be capable of operating as incast or outcast and will stand
about three Peet high.
4. A. A revised map, Exhibit C 2, has been included.
