Such operations are fairly common in
the Breckenridge area.
' This is the operation I have discussed with you. I also have discussed
this operation with Bruce Humphries. Those discussions related to the right to
remove some of this dredge tailing for personal use. Those discussions led to
' my submitting a letter to Bruce (dated May 15, 1998) explaining the
circumstances wherein RILC wished to remove some of the dredge material for
personal use. Bruce replied (correspondence dated May 20, 1998) that the
DMG's opinion was that the specific activity, as described, would not require a
permit. The purpose of this application is to allow for the production and sale of
construction materials to the general public.
' The surface and sub-surface are presently owned by B & B Mining, Inc.
and the sale to RILC is contingent upon the granting of this Mined Land
Reclamation permit.
Further investigation subsequent to our discussions with Mr. Humphries
revealed that the 9.9 acre parcel that is the subject of this application is
' presently included in a 352 acre, 112 MLR Permit (# M-93-035) owned by
Alpine Rock (referred to as the Swan River Resource Operation). Alpine Rock's
' Right to Enter and Mine is a lease from B & B Mining, Inc.
1
l
