No. Z2 Issue - Reclamation of parking areas. '~' The attached sketch shows the typical stockpile and equipment layout which will include parking around the crusher. In nearly all cases, the compacted parking and plant areas will be removed during the mining ~/ process. Areas that are not removed shall be ripped prior to topsoilingY and reclamation. (Attachment F) No. Z3 Issue - RecZomattion procedure AZZ lands within the proposed permit area will be reclaimed to a wildlife habitat. Of the total area, approximately 78 percent will be reclaimed to pond areas. The remaining area will consist of screening mounds, protective berms, access roads, parking areas, walkways, and habitat cover areas between ponds. Overburden and screening fines will be used to construct the Zand forms. Once they are constructed to their desired configurations, a minimum of six inches of topsoil will be replaced on aZZ Zand areas. The ground will be tilled to remove air pockets. Soil tests will be performed to determine the need for and amount of fertilizers and soil amendments. Fertilizers will be incorporated by discing or other appropriate meassrres. Seeding rates have been specified in the re- sponse to Issue No. 4. In addition to seeding with the specified grass mixture, cottonwoods and willows will be transplanted along the shorelines of the screening mounds. The cottonwoods shall be placed at 25 to 50 foot spacings with willow shoots placed among the cottonwoods at approximate 6 to ZO foot spacings. During the period Stage I is mined, screening mounds and protective berms will be constructed with overburden and screening fines. The dividing areas between ponds will also be constructed concurrently with mining. During the latter years of Stage I mining, topsoil from Stage II will be stripped and replaced at appropriate locations for Stage I reclamation. Once the topsoil is removed from Stage II mining will connnence, along with concurrent construction of ponds, mounds, and berms. The same general timing will apply to Stages III and IV.
