The culverts will -be removed as' per the plan and low,~.,~ater ~~~. ~` , <br />crossing installed as per the reclamation plan. The low '~ <br />water crossings shall be cut to the bottom of the streambed. <br />No fill material shall be placed into the drainage. Excess <br />cut material remaining from the ramp constructed into the <br />drainage shall be either used for fill material in the <br />sloping of the portal area or contoured to blend with the <br />area adjacent to the drainage and road, and revegetated. <br />4. An existing livestock trail traversed the portal area from the canyon <br /> and followed the approximate route of the existing power poles. <br /> Reclamation shall be completed in a manner that will not prevent <br /> livestock from passing, if necessary to reach grazing above the portal <br /> reclamation. <br />5. A fence is proposed to limit livestock impact on establishment and <br /> survival of reclamation vegetation. Fencing shall not prevent livestock <br /> from accessing the canyon bottoms. Fencing shall conform to BLM <br /> standards. Either a four strand barbed wire fence with the following <br /> wire spacing from the ground up as follows: 16 inches 10 inches, 10 <br />• inches and 10 inches with the top wire not exceeding 46 inches or a 3 <br /> barbed, one smooth wire fence with wire spacing from the ground up as <br /> Follows: smooth wire 10 inches, then barbed wire at 8 inches, 8 inches <br /> and 12 inches with the top wire not exceeding 38 inches in height. All <br /> fencing shall be maintained in a livestock tight condition. All corners <br /> shall be braced with wooden H type braces and the fence wire shall be <br /> kept stretched tight to prevent big game wildlife injury. <br />Thank you for coordinating the inspection of the mine site and helping BLM <br />meet our regulatory responsibility concerning activities within the approved <br />mine permit area.
