Reports pertaining to <br />the temperature logging results will be submitted to the BLM and EPA within <br />30 days after the data is. obtained. <br />SECTION V -BIOLOGY MONITORING <br />Pursuant to the BLM and Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) <br />requirements, WRN prepared a biology monitoring program to address the <br />following 'stems: <br />a. Evaluate reclaimed areas for vegetative production, crown cover and <br />composition, versus representative control sites. <br />b. Inventory raptor breeding activity in proposed well development field for <br />mitigation or proteaction strategies. <br />c. Assess mule deer habitat losses associated with well field development <br />and mine facilities. Develop and implement mitigative measures in <br />cooperation with I3LM and Division of Wildlife to off-set habitat loss. <br />1.0 Vegetation Pr~ram <br />Vegetation monitoring will be conducted on sites which have been disturbed/ <br />revegetated and on undisturbed or control locations. Monitoring techniques <br />assess the progress of the re-established vegetation, with progress evaluated by <br />comparison with representative control sites. <br />36 <br />
