C-12,743(FD) INITIAL APPROVAL ^ <br />DATE I~SUED: March 6, 1981 .FINAL APPROVAL Q <br />ISSUED TO: NORTHERN COAL COMPANY <br />THE SOURCE TO WHICH THIS PERMIT APPLIES IS DESCRIBED AND LOCATED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Above-ground activities at an underground coal mine known as Reineau No. Z. <br />located on State Highway 13, approximately five miles north of Meeker, Colorado <br />in Rio Blanco County. This is an existing mine increasing coal production from <br />250,000 to 500,000 tons per year. <br />THE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT OR ACTIVITY SUBJECT TO THIS PERMIT INCLUDES THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />Conveyors, stockpiles, screens, crusher, truck loadout for 500,000 tons per year <br />production of coal. <br />THIS PERMIT IS GRANTED SUBJECT TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE <br />COLORADO AIR QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION AND THE COLORADO AIR QUALITY <br />CONTROL ACT C.R.S. 1973 (25-7-101 et sue), TO THOSE GENERAL TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS SET FORTH ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THIS DOCUMENT AND THE <br />FOLLOWING SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS: <br />1. Raw coal stockpile will be sprayed with oil to suppress dust and shall not <br />exceed 250,000 tons throughput in one year. <br />2. Conveyors will remain covered and spray bars operated at all transfer points. <br />3. Oil spray systems on both truck loadout silos will be operated when loading <br />trucks. <br />4. Areas of heavy truck activity will be paved and coal spills cleaned up on a <br />daily basis. <br />5.
