MINING PLAN • • <br />Description of Concurrent Mining and Reclamation Opgrations <br />Step i -Install proper road signage for the operation. <br />EXHIBIT D )coot) <br />Step 2 -Hay bales, ditches and sumps will be installed at the lowest point of the access road near the <br />intersection with Coffee Pot Road since this portion of the road will not drain to the sediment pond. <br />Step 3 -All topsoil material will be stripped from an area of approximately 15 acres at the southern <br />portion of Stage A as shown on Map Exhibit 5 of the County permit. The soil will be stored along <br />the western and northern boundaries of the 29.2 disturbed area. This <br />setback will become the top of a sight <br />berm that will be left in place during the <br />life of the mine. Mining will progress <br />on this initial stripped area until a hole <br />approximately 40 feet deep has been <br />created and a face stretching the width <br />of the stage is complete. The inside of <br />the berm will be cut from existing g- <br />round to an inside slope of 2H:1 V, leav- <br />ing al] pinon and juniper tress on the outside, undisturbed slope of the berm. <br />14 <br />
