Rock obtained from blasting will be used in underdrain <br />construction. Blasts in this area will normally require less than 5 pounds of explosives. <br />At times it may be necessary to exceed this limitation. As a result the following <br />information is being filed with the Division for compliance with section 4.08.1 of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Rules and Regulations. <br />GENERAL <br />Wyoming Fuel Company, New Elk Mine, Weston, Colorado will conduct blasting in <br />the permitted refuse disposal area at the New Elk Mine; Sections 14 and 23 Township 33 <br />south, Range 68. Mr. Robert B. Morehead, 7r., Vice President of Operations is in charge. <br />PREBLASTSURVEY <br />All residents within one-half (y:) miles of any part of the refuse disposal area permit <br />boundary have been notified of the procedures for requesting a preblast survey. A copy of <br />this letter is enclosed. The Vialpando residence is the only residence within one-half (Y:) <br />mile of the permit boundary. <br />WFC understands, upon resident request to the Director for a preblast survey WFC <br />will either contract or perform such a survey as defined in section 4.08.2. In addition, <br />copies of the survey will be supplied to the resident and the Director. <br /> <br />
