Dept. of Natural Reso0rce=
Dear Mr. Loye:
Thank you for your prompt review of our application. The following information
is in response to the comments noted in your letter of December 2, 1981, by exhibit.
EXHIBITS C and F:
1) See Enclosure (Revised Map)
2) See Enclosure (Revised Map)
No Utility lines crossing site.
3) See Enclosure (Revised Map)
4) The access road to the pit area is part of the 30 acres of affected land,
it was constructed for the gravel operation and will be revegetated.
5) The topsoil stockpile is located at the northwest corner of the pit area
and to date in excess of 150 loads have been deposited and will continue
to be placed in this same area each year.
EXHIBIT D:
1) The topsoil stockpile is located away from any future mining. Planting,
in my opinion, is not necessary in view of the fact that this material is
topsoil from irrigated farmland and borrow pit areas that contain enough
seed to revegitate naturally, eliminating erosion dangers.
2) We will reclaim those areas that may lend themselves to reclamation as
our operation continues.
3) The small area southwesterly of our pit is not to be incorporated into
our permit area because it is an old abandoned pit and was not created
by us.
4) No fixed equipment is utilized in our operation and the mobile equipment
includes a crushing plant and conveyors and stock pilers and end loaders.
5) Working faces have been sloped to about a 1 to 1 slope.
