Slope Ss 1$ to 40 percent. <br />The average annual precipitation is 16 to 18 inches, and the average annual air temp- <br />erature is 41 to 4$ degrees F. <br />Frr~,J <br />These soils aze loamy-skeletal, mixed,,~lithlc Ustochrepts. <br />typical pedon of Unnamed stony sandy loam, 1$ to 40 percent elopes, about 600 <br />feet north and 2,400 feet west of the southeast corner of Sec. g6, T.16 S., R.73 W. <br />01--1 to 0 inches; ponderosa pine litter. <br />Al--0 to 3 inches; dazk grayish bror.-n (10YR 4/2) stony sandy loam, very dark gray- <br />ish broxn (SOYR 3/2) moist; xeak fine subanavlaz blocky structure; soft, very friable, <br />nonsticky and nonplaetic; 4$ percent gravel, 10 percent cobbles, 1 percent stones; <br />~ightly acids abrupt smooth boundary. • <br />A2--3 to 9 inches; light broxn (7.$ YR 6/4) very gravelly sandy loam, dark broxn <br />(~.$YR 4/4) moist; weak fine subangulaz blocky structure; soft, very friable, slightly <br />sticky and nonplastic; $$ percent gravel, $ percent cobbles; slightly acid; abrupt inter- <br />mittant boundary. <br />R--9 Inches; fracttn^ed gneiss. Rock fragment content is 3$ to 6$ percent. <br />Hue is SO YR or 7. A'x. Some pedons have a thin B2 or B2t horizon just above the <br />bedrock. <br />• <br />
