<br />HB_1561_continued~age 6 <br />Second Reading of the Senate <br />June 5, 1975 at 12:06 P.M. <br />Chairman: "...(T)he Clerk will read the title to House Bill 1561" <br />Clerk: "House Bill 1561 Representatives McCroskey and Webb <br />concerning property of historic significance and providing <br />for State Register of Historic Places." <br />Chairman: "Senator Gallagher" <br />Gallagher: "Mr. Chairman, I'd move uh..House Bill 1561 at this time. <br />What this bill does is uh. and also I'd like to move <br />the..the House and Senate amendments uh.. at this time. <br />Uh..I want to thank at this time the Senate State <br />affairs Committee for spending a couple of hours one <br />afternoon on a Saturday cleaning this bill up and putting <br />it in pretty good shape, as it came over from the House. <br />Uh.., now the, .uh., basically..uh..do you want me to <br />move those individually, or..?" <br />Chairman: "Your pleasure, I think it would be easier to do that!" <br />Gallagher: "Now I could expedite this..uh..I don't think anybody should <br />have a problem with with this bill. What this does is set <br />up..provide for a State Register of Historic Places. <br />It sets up procedures for inclusion, the ah..the <br />designation of property included and the valuation of the <br />property. Uh..There is no fiscal note. The reason they <br />want the Bill..the historical society wants the Bill is so <br />that is so that they can get the Federal funds that will help <br />them set up this Register.
