Monitoring during past years has shown no
impacts to the hydrologic balance on khe east outcrop. Therefore for Phase
I, Kerr requests that the following seven (7) monitor wells be deleted from
the program: t,oal ~whx,vt S~~t((acrs
ter.A pL1.71$b r"~~~i;i ~ io1 =~
J DH-6 79-26 79-27 79-32 79-36 AI-1 AI-2
pAiN
The locations of these and the remaining monitoring wells are shown on the
Mine Area Groundwater Hydrology Map, (Map 19) contained in the permit
revision document. Specifically, the MLRD
questions the Streit wells 2 and 3 and the Hines Lumber Company Spring. The
Streit Wells 2 and 3 are located on the north side of the Canadian River in
the vicinity of the Blevins Ranch. Please refer to the North Park Hydrology
Map, (Map 6) for the location of the Blevins Ranch.
Additionally, Kerr personnel contacted Mr. Eric Wagner, Water Commissioner
in Walden, Colorado concerning the Hines Lumber Company Spring. Mr. Wagner
indicated that this spring is located in a draw north of the Louisiana
Pacific Company lumber mill, over 1,000 feet north of the Kerr Loadout Area.
