• This plan remains essentially unchanged except for the following changes: <br />1. 6900 North Well -Streeter Fill -_During the summer of 1984, the shallow 6900 <br />north well collapsed. It was later determined that since this, well monitored only a <br />small perched zone within the fill, reestablishment of the well would not be <br />necessary. Refer to the 1984 Annual Repor[ for additional details. <br />2. 6900 South Well -Streeter Fill -_[t was noted on March 21, 1986 that this <br />piezometer welt had also collapsed. This well was reestablished in the fall of <br />1986. For further details concerning this well, refer to the 1986 Annual Report. <br />3. New Upper Good Sprint Creek Surface Water Monitoring Site This site replaced <br />the Upper Good Spring Site to allow for mine expansion. Monitoring shall utilize <br />any equipment, structures, devices or methods necessary to measure and sample <br />accurately the quality and quantity of surface water. Refer to Map 37 for site <br />location. <br />These commitments have satisfied the requirements of Stipulation 1 in the Findings <br />document. <br />The proposed surface water monitoring plan includes monitoring required under the <br />NPDES Permit Facility Number COG-850017 issued by the Colorado Department of <br />Health. Colowyo will measure the quantity and quality of any discharges from the permit <br />• area in compliance with the NPDES Permit. <br />Colowyo will report the discharge in accordance with the Clean Water Act of 1977 under <br />the NPDES Permit on a quarterly basis; therefore, Colowyo will plan to use the NPDES <br />report for filing with the Division.
