A lower terrace between t e <br />creek and tie deposit is at about 20 feet above the c eek. <br />Gravel thickness is approximately 60 feet and is er.po ed <br />on the south lacing slope. Overburden will vary from zero <br />at the slope to about 20 feet at the back of the depo i*_. <br />Piesa County has a gravel pi[ on this property im.ed- <br />iatel:a adjacent to the east of this site. To the *]or h <br />and to the Wes[ of this site is rangeland consisting f <br />cedar trees, brush and sparse grass cover. The lower <br />terrace to the South is presently pasture. All of this <br />area is owned by the pit owner. One adjacent prepert_ <br />owner is within 500 feet of the site. Plateau Creeb: +s <br />between the site and the adjacent owner. <br />• Excavatior. will begin at the exposed gravel slop in <br />the South East corner of the excavation area. The lo•er <br />terrace •.'ill be used as plant ar.d stockpile site. Ex ava- <br />tion will proceed full depth of the deposit toward th <br />Borth and West. A crusher will be located in the pla t <br />site en an intermittent basis. An asphalt mix plant ay <br />a]so be utilized periodically. Overburden will be st ipped <br />from the stoc~pile site and stored at the west edge o the <br />site, for use in reclamation. Overburden on the gray 1 will <br />be stripped and stockpiled to the north of the excava ion <br />for use in reclaiming the gravel slope. Backslope on the <br />nit will be left at a 3:1 (*_hree horizcntal to or.e ve tical) <br />or flatter.
