GENERAL ' . <br />BBcB Excavating operates a gravel operation under Mined Land Reclamation Board Permit No. <br />M86-104 on the site known as the "Montgomery Pit." The permitted mining area is <br />' approximately 46 acres in size. B&B is permitted to mine the gravel, stockpile materials, crush <br />aggregate and process concrete and asphalt. A natural <br />drainageway, known as Skillman Gulch, bisects the property. The basin west of Skillman Gulch <br />' (Basin A) is the azea of present mining, crushing operations and stockpiling. The basin east of <br />Skillman Gulch (Basin B) is the area of aggregate stockpiling, concrete and asphalt hatching <br />operations, and truck scales. These operations aze briefly described below: <br />,....:. <br />SSand and Gravel.:Mining <br />' Topsoil and overburden are removed and stockpiled. The exposed aggregate is surface <br />mined using dozers and loaders. Aggregate is mined to a level 10 feet above the ground- <br />water table. Aggregate is screened and crushed on site and stockpiled. It is estimated <br />that 200,000 tons of aggregate will be processed annually. <br /> <br />
