• 13 •
EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN
Concurrent reclamation will be completed; however, this reclamation will not be
completed untill approximately 1/3 of the pit has been mined. Topsoil will be spread
to a depth of at least 6". Fertilizer and mulch will also be added. Slopes on the
perimeter of the pit will be no less than a 3:1 and oversize rock will be buried at the toe
of the reclamation area. The pit itself shal be nearly flat. Fertilizer and seed shall be
broadcast and harrowed in. We propose to seed in the fall of the year in order to take
advantage of the fall and spring moisture, as Soil Conservation Service has also
suggested seeding after October 15th. Species to be seeded shall be Western
W:heatgrass, Galleta, and Indian Ricegrass at the rates proposed on the S.C.S.
worksheet.
