Dept. cf ^!=aural Rose~~rces <br />Enclosed please find a proof of publication affidavit for Pit 29. <br />The following discussion should address the concerns you mentioned in <br />your letter of October 30, 1980. <br />Item 17: <br />The lakes created by this mining operation will have value as wildlife <br />habitat. <br />Exhibit D: <br />Blatchley Associates is preparing a response to your question about "fines" <br />sealing this lake. <br />Topsoil and overburden stockpiles will be sloped at no greater than 2:1 and <br />planted with western wheatgrass broadcast at 6 lbs. PLS/acre. <br />Exhibit E: <br />The proposed residential area is a tentative land after use only. This land <br />would have to be rezoned by Adams County at some point in the future if <br />residences were to be constructed since the mining will take place as a con- <br />ditional use in an A-3 zone. The lakes are not proposed for recreational <br />use and no swimming will take place. Shorelines will be sloped 3:1. <br />Revegetation will occur on all lake shores.
