June 26, 1984
Mr. hfark Loye
Page 4
Different soils boundaries as indicated in htr Puga's Exhibits
A-1 and A-2 have been transposed to our topographic maps and
are enclosed with this report as Soil Map Exhibits I-lA and
I-1B. A description of soils type S was not included with the
original application. A copy of that description is enclosed.
EXHIBIT L
1. Note my new list of costs in item 8 below.
2. I will use your cost figure of $38/acre for the seeding mixture.
3. I will use your cost figure of $200/ton for mulch.
4. Although I feel the costs of ~i0/cubic yard and $1.00/cubic
yard for backfilling and respreading topsoil, respectively,
are excessively high when compared to our actual costs (as
used in the original application), I will use your cost
figures.
S. The costs of $110/acre was for the equipment and labor cost to
disc, drill the seed and fertilizer mulch and crimp. I will
use your figures to recalculate these items.
6. As stated before, there will not be more than 20,000 cubic yards
of material to backfill. Although 30 acres could be disturbed,
backfilling would only be required in a portion of that acreage.
7. Respreading of topsoil is also an ongoing process. At no time
will there be more than 20 acres requiring the spreading of
topsoil; this is approximately 25,000 cubic yards.
8. Reclamation costs are as follows:
Backfilling 20,000 cu.yds. @ $.60 $12,000.00
Topsoiling 25,000 cu.yds. @ $1.00 25,000.00
Drilling of 35 acres 982.00
Drilling of 35 acres 259.00
Mulching of 35 acres 750.00
Crimping of 35 acres 982.00
Mobilization and demobilization 256.00
