South Pit Drill Pad Reclamation
Reclamation of the South Pit Drill Pad disturbance area will be comprised of;
1) Regrading the drill pad to achieve a blended topography complimentary to the
adjacent South Pit while allowing access to the pre-mine two track up Carbon
Junction Canyon.
2) Loading and hauling topsoil from the closest topsoil stockpile to cover the portion
of the drill pad with twelve inches of topsoil.
3) Regrading and spreading of the topsoil over the drill pad area.
4) Seeding, planting and mulching the drill pad area as described in the revegetation
plan.
Sediment Ponds 1 and 2
Sediment ponds 1 and 2 will be reclaimed (bacldilled, regraded, retopsoiled, and
revegetated) following a determination that they are no longer required for sediment
control at the Carbon Junction mine site.
In addition to the above described modifications to the reclamation plan described above,
the following modification was made previously to the reclamation plan. This change
involved removal of the former explosives azea from the mine site.
Golf Course Reclamation
The northwest comer of the original permit area (approximately 10 acres) fell within the
area planned for development of a golf course and ancillary facilities. To facilitate
construction of the golf course facility, Oakridge Energy requested that the explosives
bench and access road be left in their current configuration. Based on this request, liability
release from CDMG was sought for this area. CDMG approved this release in 1997.
Subsequent to the liability release, the area was excised from the Carbon Junction Mine
permit azea (CDMG TR07).
TR08, TRll, TIt12, TR13 S32 Revised 9/97, 08/02, 9103, 03/06
