Long <br />Canon City, CG 8121? oiv,aion o~re<mr <br />RE: Informal Conference, Agile Stone Systems, Inc., - Parkdale Project, 112 Permit Application, File No. <br />M-97-054 <br />Dear Mr. Telek: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is reviewing Agile Stone System's application for a regular (I I?) <br />Reclamation Permit to mine granite, gravel, and limestone at their proposed Parkdale Project. We have received letters <br />from individuals indicating that they are objecting to approval of the application. <br />When the Division receives timely written objections to a permit application, a hearing process is stoned. The first step <br />is an Informal Conference which will be held at [he Canon City Council Chambers at 612 Royal Gorge Boulevard, <br />Canon City, at 1:00 p.m., September 18, 1997, H. Bruce Humphries, Minerals Program Supervisor, will condut:t the <br />meeting. <br />At the Informal Conference, each person objecting [o approval of [he application will be able to present their grounds <br />for objecting, and the applicant and anyone supporting the application will have time le present grounds necessary tt; <br />support issuance of a Reclamation Permit to mine and reclaim the proposed project stle. <br />Any interested person may participate in the Informal Conference by submitting written comments or by appearing in <br />person. <br />The Division will report on [he status of [he permit review, discuss [he types of issues [he Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board (MLRB) will consider at the final hearing, and discuss the remainder of the review and hearing process. <br />Agile Stone Systems has requested that the decision date on their application be changed from October 6, 1997 to the <br />November 19-20, 1997 MLRB meeting. <br />Please contact me if you have questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />~r~"T/~G/ V G"W i <br />Larry Dl ehler <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />cc: H.
