TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT <br />The permittee should read the WET testing sections of Part I.A. and <br />I.B. of the permit carefully, and should note that the test methods <br />far the toxicity tests are described in detail in the Division <br />guidance document, Guidelines for Conducting Whole Effluent <br />Toxicity Tests. This document should be read thoroughly prior to <br />commencing the required WET testing, to ensure that [he permittee <br />is aware of the various test conditions that could affect the test <br />results (e,g., sample holding Cime). <br />The permittee should be aware that some of the conditions outlined <br />above may be subject to change if the facility experiences a change <br />in discharge, as outlined in Part II.A.1 of the permit. Such <br />changes shall be reported to the Division immediately. <br />5. Antidegradation: Pursuant to Section 3.1.8(1)Cb)(iii) of the Basic <br />Standards and Methodologies for Surface Water, an antidegradation <br />review is required for the new discharge point, 011, because the <br />receiving waters (North Fork of the Gunnison) are classified for <br />Cold Water Class 1 Aquatic Life. The parameter of concern is Total <br />Recoverable Iron. In accordance with Section 3.1.8(3), in cases <br />such as this where the new loading to the receiving waters is less <br />than 15$ of the allowable increment, the discharge is not expected <br />to cause significant degradation and no conditions related to <br />antidegradation are needed in the permit. <br />B. Monitoring and Reporting <br />1.
