Page 3
Mr. Don Kriz
December 18, 1979
after reclamation is completed.
2. The exact location of each reclamation phase is unclear on the
present map. Perhaps the phases o~ reclamation could be outlined
rather than indicated by arrows.
3. Shia map must show the entire affected area and outline it clearly.
Exhibit G:
1. Into cahich pit is water from dewatering operations to be pumped?
This pit must be considered as part of the affected land.
2. Is there evidence (such as core drillings, etc.) to indicate the
probable depth of water 1n the pits after mining ie completed?
3. This permit application has been sent to the Colorado Divisdon of
Flater Resources for their Judgments. 41!iea our staff receives these
Judgments, we caill evaluate them and pass on any pertinent comments.
Exhibit H:
1. The last three reclamation recommendations of the District T•/ildlife
Manager have not been included in the reclamation plan. Are there
any plans to implement any of these three recommendations to
any extent?
Exhibit L:
1. Reclamation cost calculations should be made for the entire affected
area (the original limited impact pit area plus the new Chambers Pit
area). The basic format of the reclamation cost Calculations is
satisfactory, hocaever, any changes to the reclamation plan made as
a result of this letter (e. g., final grading and seed mixture) should
be reflected in the new calculations.
2. Bonding will be based on the entire affected area.
I have attempted to be as inclusive as possible in this adequacy review. If,
however, you have any further questions, please call me at 839-3567. i hope
we can wor}: together on this application for eventual Board action in Sanuary.
Sincerely,
?ark S.
