Ms. Shani Eastin
Weld County Floodplain Administrator
Department of Planning Services
October 28, 1997
Page 2

be 4952.8 feet MSL even though it is down gradient of the UDFCD datum point. Therefore, this
is a conservative flood elevation for our purposes.
w
The lowest floor, located in the plant azea, will be elevated to an elevation of 4953.8 MSL
making it one foot above the base flood elevation in that azea. All water that is brought on site
will be bottled water. A portable toilet will be installed and elevated by fill above the BFE. It
will also prevent dischazges from the systems into the floodwater bf an intermediate regional
flood.
Sand and gravel stockpiles will be aligned parallel to the direction of flood flow wherever
possible. The stockpiles will have periodic breaks or open azeas such that no continuous dike or
levee barrier is created.
Fill material on this site will be temporary. Stockpiles will be made, but are temporary.
Cordially,
yTUTTLE APPLEGATE, INC.
I~~ `
Dan Giraux, P.E.
DG/sjr
cc: File #97-125
Jeff Gregg, Hall-Irwin Construction
c:i9s~aao-ltn~„kin
