Box 519 <br />Greeley, Colorado 80632 <br />654-1684 (metro) <br />This site is the fu[we location of an aggregate extraction operation with all associated production <br />facilities. This property currently is non-irrigated pastureland. Weld County Road 2 is located <br />on the south side of the property. There are no other improved roads adjacent to the property. <br />Drainage at the site is generally from south to north. The South Platte River is approximately '/, <br />mile to the east. This property consists of 170.7 acres of which approximately 120.9 acres will <br />be disturbed by the mining operation. <br />The entire site is within the 100-yeaz floodplain of the South Platte River. <br />2.0 Description of Operation <br />This operation will be an aggregate extraction operation using dry mining techniques requiring <br />dewatering of the site. This site will be mined in three phases. Aggregate extraction will <br />generally occw from the north to the south in each phase. This operation will produce <br />approximately 450,000 tons of aggregate per year. <br />Crushing and screening equipment will be brought on-site to create and size aggregate for asphalt <br />and concrete materials. Aggregate washing facilities with wash ponds will be located within the <br />processing site area. An asphalt plant and a concrete plant will be located at the processing site <br />along with a recycle plant for recycling concrete and asphalt materials. <br />An office building, shop and a truck scale will be set up neaz the access point of the processing <br />site. Haul roads will be constructed throughout the site for internal access to the active mining <br />azea, the scale, office, processing azea and batch plants. Some new roads constructed for the <br />mining access may remain after reclamation. <br />
