This letter is formatted in the same numerical order as your adequacy letter and are
addressed as follows:
1.) Please find enclosed copies of the certified mail receipt cards.
2.) Please find enclosed a copy of the Stomtwater Management Plan application.
3.) In order to minimize the potential of erosion of topsoil stockpiles, the operator is
conunitted to forming elongated stockpiles aligned with the South Platte River (see
Exhibits C).
Weld County requires any project, such as Baseline Resource, located within the
County's flood hazard areas, to apply for the above permit (see Flood Hazazd
Development permit application). This permit reviews [he floodplain effects this project
may have on the surrounding area and addresses issues such as floor elevations, fill,
stockpiling, on-site sanitary sewer and potable water.
It has been noted that the Flood Hazard Development permit has been omitted from
Exhibit M in the application. Please find enclosed a revised Exhibit M.
This project is also within the 100-yeaz floodplain, but more specifically, the flood fringe
area of the South Platte River. The flood fringe area receives water at a velocity of less
than two feet per second at depths of less than two feet, indicating that the possibility of
significant erosion is low. The processing azea is also located on the west side of Phase 2,
which is the furthest buildable location on-site from the river.
11990 Grant Street, Suite 555 • Den]]v~er, Colorado 80233 • (303) 452-6611 • Fax (303) 452-2759
,3.~.. - ... ~ic,.uv.:-~~Y..+....aul..... -_!v~~a; .a.. ~ i]!a-.... 5,~~~.is.~..~~,.-ri'... - i ' t } ~.i.'{
