DMG has reviewed your <br />comments and will consider all issues within our jurisdiction in our adequacy review of the <br />application. <br />Issues relating to aesthetics, quality of life, noise pollution, and impacts to county roads <br />are not within DMG's jurisdiction. DMG recommends that you contact the Gunnison <br />County Planning Department for assistance with possible impact to county roads, noise, <br />and quality of life related concerns as these issues are usually handled by local government <br />agencies through the special use or similar local government permitting processes. <br />One of your concerns was that the sewage facility will be visible. The application does not <br />indicate that a sewage facility will be constructed. <br />Regarding your concern that the proposed mining operation will alter the landscape; the <br />Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials (Act) and the <br />Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board (Rules) anticipate that public and private lands will be affected where minable <br />resources exist. However, the Act and Rules provide reclamation requirements to ensure <br />that affected lands are reclaimed to a beneficial land use. <br />Issues relating to slope stability are addressed by the Act and Rules and are therefore <br />
