Soils: The surface layer is a very dark grayish brown clay
loam about five inches thick. The subsoil is dark grayish brown
clay and about two feet in depth. The underlying layer is olive
gray clay loam extending to a depth of five feet or more. In
some areas this is a stony, well drained soil and other areas water
intake is slow and surface runoff is high.
