• <br />NORTH CHIEFTAIN - Jefferson County <br />EXHIBIT A - Legal Description <br />All of the S? of the NE a and Elz of the <br />SW; and the SE; of Section 23; the SWq <br />and the Wz of the SE4 of Section 24; <br />all of Section 25 and the E'z of the Ez <br />of Section 26, T45, R70W of the 6th P.M., <br />except rights of way for public highways <br />over and across any of said lands. <br />EXHIBIT B - Mining Plan <br />The North Chieftain is an open pit clay mine in the Laramie <br />Formation. Mining of Foxhill Silica Sand and Clay started years <br />ago on the north end of the property line. We are now mining <br />on the south end of the property and advancing north on the clay <br />vein and also west on other veins. We will mine clay to the <br />property line along the hill to the north, south and caest. <br />This clay is mined with an HD-11 Cat and stockpiled on the <br />northeast side of the pit until it is hauled by truck to the <br />Brick Plants in Denver. <br />The overburden varies in depth from four to twelve feet. The <br />clay pit varies in depth from four to thirty feet from the surface, <br />depending on the depth of the clay vein. The overburden is used <br />as fill as we advance with the pit and graded to 1:1. There are <br />no highwalls at this site. <br />EXHIBIT C - Map <br />See attached. <br />EXHIBIT D - Wildlife, iVater Resources, Vegetation and Soils Information <br />Wildlife Species: Coyote, magpie, skunk, small rodents, <br />prairie dogs, raptors, seasonal songbirds, deer, fox, cottontail <br />rabbits. <br />Water Resources: No available water except for rain and <br />snowfall. <br />Vegetation: Native grasses, cool season fortis and shrubs. <br />The dominant grasses are western ~aheatgrass, green needlegrass, <br />- 1 - <br />
