• 14.0 OTHER COSTS
Costs for complete downhole explosive service, including all loading and blasting
activities, were obtained from a quote by MSI. Details of the quote are provided in Appendix C,
Cost Documentation. The method of calculating costs is illustrated by the cost calculation
worksheets presented in Appendix D, Cost Tables.
15.0 CALCULATION OF TOTAL COSTS FOR EACH RECLAMATION ACTIVITY
Total costs for each reclamation activity and disturbance azea were calculated by
multiplying required equipment hours by the corresponding costs. Total activity costs as well as
the individual components used in calculating those costs aze indicated on the individual cost
calculation tables, included in Appendix D, Cost Tables.
16.0 DEVELOPMENT OF COST ESTIMATES FOR PROJECT OVERHEAD,
CONTRACTOR PROFIT, AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
• Overhead costs and contractor profit aze based upon the total direct and indirect project
costs calculated as described in the preceding sections. Cost calculations for these general and administrative costs aze summarized
in Appendix D, Cost Tables. These costs include the costs associated with the overall reclamation
project, and cost breakouts aze also provided for individual disturbance azeas.
17.0 DETERMINATION OF TOTAL BOND RECLAMATION COST
• The total estimated bond surety necessary to provide for complete reclamation of
disturbance during the next five yeaz permit term was determined by adding the total duect
project costs and project overhead and profit figures.
Table 2, Summary of Costs, shows a complete breakdown of direct and induect costs for
io
