The previously disturbed areas have not been <br />reclaimed and with the exception of backfilling of open portals completed <br />in 1987 by the CMLRD to limit access, the area remains in essentially the <br />same configuration and condition as it was in when the Monarch No. 4 <br />operations ceased. <br />Location of Proposed South Fan Installation <br />The proposed south fan installation will be located in the SW1/4 of the <br />NE1/4 of Section 31, T20S, R69W, 6th PM, as shown on the revised Mine <br />Plan Map, (Map 171. The existing Monarch No. 4 Mine road provides <br />access to the site and is in good condition since it is used by the landowner <br />for access to the upper portions of his property.
