• Introduction i, <br />Permit Revision 1. The Current Hydrologic Monitoring Program was initiated at the Seneca <br />II-W Mine upon approval of Permit Revision Number 1 (PR1) Sn October of 1991. A major <br />part of the program is the utilization of ground water monlto ring wells which replace <br />older wells that have produced suspect or no data. Select monitoring wells are retained <br />as part of the proposed program. Two surface water sites and eight ground water sites are <br />added [o the current program. Surface SS tes FG4 and FGS, and ground water SStes 20A, 21A, <br />22A, and 23A Snitiated monitoring in 1991. Four addl[SOnal ground water sites, USGS A1, <br />A3, A8, and A12 also began monitoring Sn 1991. Sprlnq SSte S-7 has been deleted from the <br />current program. Table 1 presents a summary of the current surface and ground water <br />mo nl Coring sites. Information on the current program is found on Pages 9 and 12, Tab 15, <br />Hydrologic Monitoring Program. Monltori ng will proceed according to the frequencies and <br />types of monlto ring described in the following program. <br />Permit Revision 2. Permit Revl Sion 2 (November, 1995) modified the ground water <br />monitoring program. All monitoring of wells 15OV, 15W, 7A1, and 23A was dropped.
