n <br />u <br />Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division <br />Page 5.'hree <br />June 23, 1987 <br /> <br />north boundary line of Dalton Land & Cattle Co. and within the <br />river channel is included within the limits of this permit and the <br />reclamation therefor and for the area within the limits of Permit <br />No. M•-80-130 is included in the reclamation plan for this permit. <br />That portion of Permit No. M-79-016 that lies north of the north <br />boundary of Dalton Land & Cattle Co. is owned by Glenn F. and Mike <br />Francis, d/b/a Hermosa Meadows Camper Park, and a letter from them <br />dated June 16, 1987, wherein they release Dalton Land & Cattle Co. <br />and Sandco from the liability and responsibility of reclamation of <br />this portion, is attached for your information and files. <br />:?. The reclamation for those areas of overlap between RBK <br />Construction Company and this permit will be performed by Sandco, <br />Inc. <br />.S. Although not mentioned specifically in the narrative of <br />the Ra~clamation Plan, Sandco will mulch the reclaimed Alternative <br />Stockpile Area as recommended by the S.C.S. The costs for the <br />mulch were included in Exhibit L. <br />4. Sandco has applied to the U.S. Corps of Engineers for a <br />permit:, under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, to place dredged <br />materials and riprap along the river banks at locations of <br />disturbance or active erosion. It is unknown at this time where <br />areas of active erosion may occur but it is Sandco's intent to <br />stabilize these areas as they occur by placing stream bed material <br />and riprap along the banks as necessary. Stream banks that are <br />undisturbed and are not in an area of active erosion will be left <br />as is.. <br />`i. The future haul road will be left in place to provide <br />access to the area to feed livestock. <br />Exhibit I' - Reclamation Plan Map <br />7:. Those sections of river banks that will be armored are <br />shown on this map. Please refer to item No. 4 of the above <br />Exhibit E. <br />7..
