OF NATU0.A <br />The primary postminiiLg_land use for reclaimed H-G Coal <br />Company land is domestic and wildlife grazing. The goals of <br />this range plan are as follows: <br />H-G RANGE MANAGEMENT GOALS <br />1) Reduce soil and water losses, restore and improve <br />vegetation, wildlife habitat, and water resources. <br />2) Maintain a permanent, stable, and productive livestock <br />grazing habitat with as efficient use of the forage <br />crop as is consistent with protection of soil resources, <br />permanence of forage production, related uses, and <br />environmental quality standards. <br />3) Improve resource inventories for soil and water conservation, <br />livestock production, wildlife management and watershed <br />• protection, <br />METHODS <br />The following items were considered in organizing this <br />range management plan: <br />1) Physiographic Features <br />2) Climatic Features <br />3) Plant Species Composition and Use Factor <br />4) Total Forage Production <br />5) Grazing Capacity <br />pz~crir.mc <br />2. PHYSIOGRAPHIC FEATURES <br />• 1. Approximately 600 of the reclaimed land will have a <br />north facing slope. The remainder of the slopes will <br />be south, east, and west facing. <br />
