Ms. Maxine Stewart
ITEC Environmental Colorado, Inc.
August 7, 2000
Page 2
approximately 200 mL of sample water before the laboratory container was filled. Filters and tubing were
used for only one sample and subsequently disposed.
Indicator water quality parameters, including pH, temperature and specific conductance were
monitored for both samples, as well as other pertinent data such as observed color and any noticeable
sedimentation. This information was recorded on the attached Groundwater Sampling Record forms. The
field parameters for each sample are summarized in the table below.
Sample
Identiticatiom Sample
Date Water Level
(ft bloc) pH Temperature (C) Specific Conductance
@25C (umhos/cm)
Well #1 7/25/00 18.59 ft 7.38 11.1 1197
Hazel A Adit 7/25/00 NA 7.81 11.9 1040
bloc: below [op of steel casing;
NA: Not Applicable.
Immediately after sample collection, laboratory containers were sealed, labeled and placed in anice-
cooled, insulated chest for storage, pending delivery to the laboratory. Chain-of-custody forms were
completed and signed by the field personnel and placed inside the ice chest. Water samples collected during
the 2000 sampling event were transported by MFG personnel, under chain-of-custody, to Hazen Research,
Inc. lacated in Golden, Colorada. The requested analyses, as indicated an the chain-of-custody forms,
included the following parameters: dissolved arsenic, dissolved manganese, dissolved zinc, sulfate and total
dissolved solids (TDS). It is our understanding that analytical results will be transmitted directly to ITEC for
review and submittal to regulatory agencies, as necessary.
If you have any questions regarding any of the information presented in this report, including the
attachments, or if you require any additional assistance in connection with this monitoring event, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
With Regards,
MFG, INC.
~~~
Jon Friedman, P.E.
Project Engineer
Pamela Anderson
Senior Staff Hydrogeologist
Attachments
Ja5461 W NN2000.L1R.wpd
