Based upon ACZ's Pit 4 Haul Road Stability Study, Rockcastle believes that the mass movement area associated with the Pit 4 haul road is stable and conforms with the provisions of the CMLRD Agreement. Rockcastle understands that CMLRD believes the best professional judgment approach utilized in this study is appropriate to determining stability of the mass movement features associated with the Pit 4 haul road. As set forth more fully in - the attached study, Rockcastle will: (1) install a rock toe drain below the slide area of Pit 4; and, (2) divert cut slope drainage above the slide area across the road. These reclamation measures will enhance and maintain the stability of the potential slide area and assure long-term use of the road. Rockcastle requests that CMLRD review these studies as soon as possible so that the specified reclamation activities set forth above may be completed by the appropriate contractors before the site becomes inaccessible due to winter weather conditions. . Rockcastle has retained contractors to complete the foregoing reclamation activities and informed them of the nature of the proposed reclamation activities. Rockcastle will direct these contractors to complete these reclamation activities as soon as Rockcastle receives CMLRD approval.
