Dept. of Natural Resources <br />Re: Schmalz Construction, Ltd. - Schmalz Construction Pit <br />Your File No. M-84-069 <br />Our File No. 7342 <br />Dear Mr. Loye: <br />This letter shall constitute a modification of the <br />pending limited impact application of Schmalz Construction, Ltd., <br />and shall respond to the various points raised in your correspon- <br />dence of May 21, 25, and 30, 1984. <br />As discussed with you by telephone on June 8, the appli- <br />cant has agreed to reduce the initial scope of the operation to 2 <br />acres, being phases I and II described in the sequence of opera- <br />tions. Based thereon, Gunnison County will reaffirm the approval <br />for 2.0 acres at the Board of County Commissioners' meeting to be <br />held on Tuesday, June 19, 1984. Thereafter, we will process an <br />application to Gunnison County for approval of the remainder of <br />the total 9.8 acre project. Upon obtaining such County approval, <br />we would then reapply to the Mined Land Reclamation Division to <br />enlarge the permit to the full 9.8 acres. <br />We would now note the following modifications to the <br />application: <br />1. At paragraph 10 of the application, the description <br />should read Township 50 North. <br />2. At paragraph 12 of the application, although the <br />total acreage will ultimately be 9.8 acres, the <br />
