We had a meeting the
other night with the general community just to
present some ideas here, and one of the comments that
came from one of the staff members was that cyanide
probably isn't their biggest problem. Beer and pot
probably is.
I say that because if that's
a perception of character within the community,
'that's not a way that a mine who wants to cooperate
with its community should be viewing the people, and
I would hope that we could iron those things out, and
then I ask you all so that until some questions that
,are really burning in our minds and concerns that we
(have are answered, that you defer from making any
'approval of a permit at this present time for Battle
Mountain Gold.
Now, once we have a dialogue between
(them and you and us and all the questions are
answered to our satisfaction and that we have
adequate proof that we will be protected, then we
will be up here before you giving you an endorsement
