E?~HIBIT D
Nining Plan Narrative:
r~
L~
As with most stream bed operations there is
no topsoil involved. Instead a front end loader
will excavate the gravel material directly from
the stream bed and load into county dump trucks.
It will then be hauled to the maintenance site.
The gravel will not be graded.
The machinery used in the operation will be
the front end loader, dump trucks and possibly a
dozer to smooth the stream bed at time of reclamation.
There will be no water diversion or impoundment
resulting from this operation. This is a normally
dry creek and this operation will not affect the
down stream water flow following heavy rains in any
significant way.
Although the pit acreage requested is 46 acres,
it is unlikely that more than five acres of the
stream bed will be disturbed at any one time. It is
probablg that stream will flood several times before
the estimated life of the pit is reached.
